Rabbi Yeshua - Messiah?

I ask that you consider the possibility that Rabbi Yeshua AKA Jesus, is the Messiah of the Jews and Gentiles. If you seek God for the answer he will lead you into all truth. There are a lot of bad Christians who have given Jesus a bad name.  These acts were done by sinful people and not our loving savior.  Seek YHWH for this journey with constant prayer having him lead you in your studies. You do not need to give up Judaism to believe in the true Messiah.  Here are some starting points for your studies.

The prophet Daniel predicted the time frame the Messiah would be on Earth

Time of Messiah's Arrival

Although Daniel wrote his prophecy hundreds of years before the birth of Yeshua (Jesus Christ), (probably before 500 B.C.), he foretold exactly when Messiah would come.

DANIEL 9:24-26 NIV
24 "Seventy `sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
25 "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven `sevens,' and sixty-two `sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.
26 After the sixty-two `sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

Nehemiah 2 records the issuing of this decree to rebuild Jerusalem with the exact month and year of its issue.

NEHEMIAH 2:1,7,8 NKJ
1 And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was before him, that I took the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had never been sad in his presence before.
7 Furthermore I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, let letters be given to me for the governors of the region beyond the River, that they must permit me to pass through till I come to Judah,
8 "and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he must give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel which pertains to the temple, for the city wall, and for the house that I will occupy." And the king granted them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me.

Using the Hebrew year of 360 days (and thus adding 483 years from when the decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem) results in 33 A.D. as the date fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel chapter 9.

(See my commentary below for more math facts.)

How amazing that God foretold hundreds of years in advance exactly when the Messiah would come! The prophecy also told that "Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself," and that the city and the sanctuary would be destroyed after Messiah came -- which of course they were in 70 A.D. by the Roman army under Titus.

DANIEL 9:26 NKJ
26 "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.

Isaiah 53:8  He was cut off out of the land of the living .

The Feasts of Israel are a prophecy of things to come foretelling of the Messiah

The information below was pulled from http://lamblion.com/articles/articles_jews3.php

What the Jewish people did not seem to realize is that all of the feasts were also symbolic types. In other words, they were prophetic in nature, each one pointing in a unique way to some aspect of the life and work of the promised Messiah.

1) Passover — Pointed to the Messiah as our Passover lamb whose blood would be shed for our sins. Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover, at the same time that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that evening.

2) Unleavened Bread — Pointed to the Messiah's sinless life, making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus' body was in the grave during the first days of this feast, like a kernel of wheat planted and waiting to burst forth as the bread of life.

3) First Fruits — Pointed to the Messiah's resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. Jesus was resurrected on this very day, which is one of the reasons that Paul refers to him in I Corinthians 15:20 as the "first fruits from the dead."

4) Harvest or Pentecost — (Called Shavuot today.) Pointed to the great harvest of souls, both Jew and Gentile, that would come into the kingdom of God during the Church Age. The Church was actually established on this day when the Messiah poured out the Holy Spirit and 3,000 souls responded to Peter's first proclamation of the Gospel.

The long interval of three months between Harvest and Trumpets pointed to the current Church Age, a period of time that was kept as a mystery to the Hebrew prophets in Old Testament times.

That leaves us with the three fall feasts which are yet to be fulfilled in the life and work of the Messiah. Because Jesus literally fulfilled the first four feasts and did so on the actual feast days, I think it is safe to assume that the last three will also be fulfilled and that their fulfillment will occur on the actual feast days. We cannot be certain how they will be fulfilled, but my guess is that they most likely have the following prophetic implications:

5) Trumpets — (Called Rosh Hashana today.) Points to the Rapture when the Messiah will appear in the heavens as a Bridegroom coming for His bride, the Church. The Rapture is always associated in Scripture with the blowing of a loud trumpet (I Thessalonians 4:13-18 and I Corinthians 15:52)

6) Atonement — (Called Yom Kippur today.) Points to the day of the Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth. That will be the day of atonement for the Jewish remnant when they repent of their sins, and receive Him as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10 and Romans 11:1-6, 25-36).

7) Tabernacles — (Called Sukkot today.) Points to the Lord's promise that He will once again tabernacle with His people when He returns to reign over all the world from Jerusalem (Micah 4:1-7).

My Commentary

The details in these feasts match so perfectly the sacrifice of Yeshua.  Even his death at the 9th hour on Passover. A good article with more description can be found on http://www.hebrewroot.com/Articles/Exodus_Feasts.htm He is our final Passover Lamb.  It is just amazing how God has woven everything together.  There is no insignificant thing in the word of God.  I hope you can see how the Tanakh has been pointing to Yeshua this whole time and that he did come the first time as the humble servant (Messiah Ben Yoseph) to be the perfect Passover sacrifice and by his blood we are saved from death eternal and will soon come back to take his reign as King of Kings (Messiah Ben David).

It is believed that King Artaxerxes Longimanus, issued the decree on on March 5, 444 BC. See Nehemiah 2:1-8.  If we take the 62+7 weeks in Daniel 9:26 we get a total of 69 weeks of years. Week of years are sets of 7.  69x7=483 years.  The Jewish calendar uses 360 days in a year.  483x360=173,880 days.  I like to use the calendar calculator on this site  BC / AD Calculator  because it will calculate BC years.  I will punch in the date of March 5, 444 BC and then type in the approximate date of Yeshua entering Jerusalem is March 26, 33 AD. He entered 4 days prior to the preparation of the Passover lambs on a donkey Zechariah 9:9. The calculator has the amount of days between March 5, 444 BC and March 26, 33 AD as 173,880 days.  Daniel's prophecy was fulfilled with pinpoint accuracy.  The Messiah was cut off (killed) after 69 weeks of years from the time the decree was issued.

I hope you read Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22.  This describes the Messiah.

Proverbs 30:3-4  I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One.  Who has ascended to heaven and come down?  Who has gathered the wind in his fists?  Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?  Who has established all the ends of the earth?  What is his name, and what is his son's name?  Sureley you know!  Yeshua is the Holy One who ascended up toe heaven.  He came and will come down again to reign as king in Jerusalem.  This is asking you what is his son's name.  Yeshua is his son's name.  The New Testament confirms the Tanakh.

Psalm 2:12  Kiss the Son, least he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.  Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.  God does not want you to perish.  He wants you to place your trust in his son Yeshua.  He is the Messiah of Israel.  If anything I have said has gotten you curious about Yeshua (Jesus) please prayerfully research these things.  God will answer you when you seek him with your heart because he loves you!

Don't be nervous to accept Yeshua as your Messiah.  I know it can seem scary.  You have chosen to believe the word of God and that is exciting!  You will still be a Jew, you will just be a completed Jew.
