The Second Beast - The False Prophet
The first beast was the Antichrist. The second Beast is the False Prophet.
11 Then
I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and
it spoke like a dragon. Jesus was referred to as the lamb of God. This verse has people thinking he could be a false
pastor or priest because of the lamb reference.
A dragon is a reference to Satan.
So, most interpret this false prophet to be a leader of a church who
will speak words of the devil.
12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. This man is causing people all over the world to worship the Antichrist. He will probably try to unit different religions under the umbrella that we all serve the same God.

performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front
of people, 14 and
by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it
deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast
that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 And
it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of
the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the
image of the beast to be slain. The False Prophet will set up an image in the Jewish Temple and demand that people worship it. With today’s technological advancements it’s amazing what they can make look real. Only God is capable of creating life. The devil destroys, deceives, or imitate life but cannot create it.

he causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the
forehead, 17 so
that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the
beast or the number of its name. One of the ways I
see can see this playing out is after the rapture happens the economy may
collapse. One of the Revelation
Judgments sounds like extraordinary inflation.
The dollar could end up worthless and the U.S. along with other nations may
turn to a world currency. This world
currency could become paperless so as to require a mark. We have seen technology increase so much that
we have the ability to implant a device such as the Radio Frequency
Identification chip which is the size of a grain of rice, into someone’s
hand. We have seen it referred to on the
news as an RFID chip. It can hold all your personal data from credit cards to

invisible tattoo that has a bar code, where they can pull your information
from. We don’t really know what this
mark will be just remember if someone is asking you to take a mark in your
right hand or forehead that you consider this carefully because it can have an
eternal consequence.
Revelation 14:9-12 mentions
that
if someone takes this mark they will
go to hell. There will be no more
repentance. They have sealed their fate
even though they have not died yet.
Revelation 16:2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. They think
taking this mark will make their life easier, but they will break out in
horrible sores all over their body and that will be the least of their problem. People may take this mark because they don’t
want to starve to death or be killed but they will be sealing their fate to
everlasting damnation in hell.
We see be-headings on the news way to often because people are refusing to deny Jesus. Once the rapture happens all evil will break loose.
Matthew 24:9 "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.
Matthew 10:33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 10:28 Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Revelation 2:10 'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Think of it this way. We
can live for Jesus now and die to self before the rapture or we can live for us
now and die for him in the tribulation.
