End Times - After the Tribulation – Earth restored

After the tribulation God is going to remove the evil from this world and restore the earth to how it was prior to the flood.  Jesus will rule on earth, from Jerusalem, for 1,000 years.

Matthew 25: 31-34 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

41“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Jesus calls us his sheep. He is our shepherd. Sheep are gently and trusting. They follow their shepherd wherever he leads them. John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.  Numerous times the Bible refers to us as sheep and Jesus as the shepherd.

Goats are different from sheep.  They do not follow someone.  They are independent, headstrong and stubborn and they go where they please. They are destructive animals.

When Jesus returns he separates those who follow him and those who don’t.  At this point he takes the unsaved and casts them into hell.  Once this happens those that are saved and have survived the tribulation will enter into what is known as the Millennial reign of Christ.  This is a thousand year period, where Jesus sets up his kingdom on the earth.

The kingdom will start with a marriage supper.  Jesus came to collect his bride at the rapture.  In the ancient Jewish custom, newlyweds are tucked away for a week long honeymoon.  This could represent the 7 years of the tribulation.  After the week was over they emerged and had a big marriage feast

Revelation 19:6-7, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;

9And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”

The bride will rule and reign along with her husband.
Revelation 1:5-6, Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father.

Revelation 20: 4-6 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.

This is talking about those who were resurrected and raptured and also those who were martyred in the tribulation. They will rule in God’s kingdom on earth for the thousand years. We will be in our immortal glorified bodies that we got at the rapture. Those that survived the tribulation will enter into the millennial reign in their physical body.

Their lifespans will increase back to how it was prior to the flood. Isaiah 65:20 No more shall there be in it, an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the young man shall die a hundred years old.  So, if you die at a hundred years, that is considered young.  Back in the days prior to the flood, people lived a very long time.  The oldest living person was Methuselah who lived to be 969 years old.

People will live together with wild animals without fear of them.

Isaiah 11: 8-9, The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. 9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

In Isaiah 2, is says that God will teach us his ways from Jerusalem. He will decide disputes. Nations will no longer war against each other.

Isaiah 29, the deaf will hear God’s word, the blind will see, the needy will rejoice, the ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear.

Isaiah 33:24, And no inhabitant will say, “I am sick”.

There will be an abundance of peace and health on the earth though sin and death will still exist during this time. 1 Corinthians 15:25-26, For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. This will happen at the end of the thousand years. At the beginning of Jesus’ reign the Devil will be cast into hell and will not be able to freely deceive people and nations. During this time people will repopulate the earth. They will still have free will to choose whom they will serve. Even though life on earth will be grand and people will see Jesus face to face, there will still be those who want to go their own way, wanting nothing to do with their savior. At the end of the 1,000 years there will be a final test and one last battle upon the earth.

Revelation 20  1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

Verse 7-10, And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

God has put an end to sin and death!
